Susan Armstrong Templeton

Funeral services for Susan Armstrong Templeton age 57 of Urania will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2019 from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church, Urania, LA with Rev. David Poole and Rev. Clay Hutto officiating. Interment will follow in the Urania Cemetery with services under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla and Columbia. Visitation will be on Friday July 12 at the church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Susan Diane Armstrong Templeton was born on January 14, 1962 at Monroe, LA to the union of her parents Charles Floyd Armstrong and Mattie Lee Franks Armstrong and she passed from this life on Wednesday July 10, 2019 at her mothers residence in Grayson following an extended illness.

Susan had a heart of gold. She was always aware of those around her and never wanted to hurt anyones feelings. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and her family meant everything to her. Although she faced many battles in life she placed her faith in the Lord Jesus and served Him with gladness and love in her heart. Her home church was New Life Pentecostal Church and even though she was unable to attend her heart was always there. She was preceded in death by her father: Charlie Armstrong; her brother: Michael Armstrong, three sisters: Theresa Armstrong, Paula Peavy and Billy Gene Armstrong and her brother-in-law: Clarence Moore.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Heather Floyd of Urania; two sons: Shannon Floyd of Urania and Matthew Floyd (Amber) of Kelly her mother: Mattie Lee Franks Armstrong; two sisters: Peggy A. Moore of Kelly and Marilyn Harker (Marc) of Nebraska; and two grandsons: Landon Johns and Hunter Floyd.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daryl Floyd, Keith Floyd, Charles Floyd, David Ashley, Chris Bryant and Jason Moore.
