Yvonne Bright

Yvonne Jane "Trudy" Bright of Grayson was taken home on Saturday February 12, 2011 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria following a brief illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, caregiver, and friend. She was born September 11, 1940 in Seattle, Washington to the union of Freeman Michael and Jane Louise Brouillette. She was preceded in death by her father: Freeman Michael Broeillette; Her first husband: Sherman Eldridge Strickland; Her husband: Donald Lee Bright; her daughter: Tracy Lee Strickland. Survivors include three sons: Michael Strickland, Kevin Scott Strickland, and Kelly William Bright; two daughters: Tina Strickland and Christan Bright Mercer; She had seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Pallbearers are Mike Strickland, Scott Strickland, Kelly Bright, Steven Coates, Cody Strickland, Austin Ireland, R.J. Eubanks, and Michael Dean Miranda. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Honnold and Bennie Johnston. Funeral services for Mrs. Bright will be 2 PM Thursday, February 17, 2011 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Bruce McGee officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-9 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks.
