Willree Estelle Medaries

Funeral services for Willree Estelle Medaries, age 89 of Grayson, LA, will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from the sanctuary of Cross Roads Baptist Church at Grayson with Rev. Shane Duke and Rev. Brian Crain officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will begin at the church on Wednesday as well at 10:00 AM.

Willree Estelle Medaries was born on September 5, 1932, at Holum, LA to the union of her parents, Eddie Roberts and Idell Gardner Roberts and she passed from this life on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at her daughter's residence in Marion, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband John A. Medaries, and a brother Charlie Roberts. She was an active member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her son, John Glenn Medaries and wife, Christal of Grayson, LA; two daughters: Regina Pennington and husband Tommy of Marion, LA and Darlene Brown of Center Point, LA; her brothers: Wilmer "Red" Roberts and Jodie Roberts; her grandchildren: Jeremy Pruitt, Hannah Crain, Jenna Mackey, Drew Medaries, Paige Poole, and Tyler (Tater) Medaries and twelve great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Jeremy Pruitt, Drew Medaries, Tyler (Tater) Medaries, Evan Ragsdale, Shawn Mackey and Joey Roberts. Honorary pallbearers include great-grandsons: Chandler Ragsdale, Braeden Pruitt, James Crain, EvanRagsdale, Jordan Crain, Luke Medaries, Easton Poole, Jacob Mackey and great-granddaughters: Emma Poole, Lily Medaries, Kylie Ragsdale, and Kenzley Ragsdale.
