Funeral services for Bill Bridwell will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, Louisiana with Bro. Stephen Laughlin officiating and Bro. Todd Whittington assisting. Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at Riser Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
William Joy Bridwell was born in Minden, Louisiana on March 23, 1945 to the union of his parents, Joy Bridwell and Clara Etta Bridwell and passed from this life May 15, 2024 at Citizens Medical Center with his loved ones by his side. Bill held quite a few titles but "Popsy" was his favorite. He loved his family and would do anything for them. They always looked forward to their yearly Tennessee trips to Cades Cove. Bill was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church, President of Kelly Water, and he also owned Professional Foundation Repairs. Bill was a hard worker to say the least. He was a dedicated hydraulics salesman for over forty years, and was still currently working for Energy Hydraulics in West Monroe. He collected guns and was a true outdoors man whether it was hunting, fishing, bush-hogging, or just riding around on his dozer.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Bonnie Bridwell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Linda Franks (Roy); son, Cody Bridwell (Annie); his brother, Mike Bridwell (Dot); sisters, Linda Frazier and Letitia Bridwell; grandchildren, Trey Franks (Macy), Cassie Franks, Chelsey Munholland (Dusty), C.J. Bridwell (Arie), Jessica Douglas (Patrick), Erica Bridwell (Taylor), Heather Bridwell; great-grandchildren, Waylon Franks, Mason and Ava Munholland, Brennon Boles, Lakynn Bridwell, Bentley and Madi Claire Douglas, and Karson, Ansleigh, and Bella Clay.
Pallbearers will include Kerry McCoy, Kevin McCoy, Glenn Davis, Jerry Young, Nick Bratton, Robert Bryan, Darrell Knighten, and Devon Wyles. Honorary pallbearers include, Trey Franks, C.J. Bridwell, Buck Stewart, Dusty Munholland, and Dalton Davis.
