Funeral services for Mrs. Virgie Harris Sharp age 80 of Columbia will be held 2pm Saturday November 19, 2011 from the New Life Assembly of God Church in Olla with Rev. Bobby Rodrigue officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday evening beginning at 2pm until time of service Saturday. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery at Grayson. All services are under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Born Virgie Charline Harris on December 8, 1930 at Harrisonburg, LA to the union of her parents, the late Elzie Harris and Martha Elizabeth Cagle Harris, she passed from this life on Tuesday November 15, 2011 at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband Willie Sharp, Sr. Survivors include three sons, Bill Sharp and wife Norma of Kelly; James Lee Sharp of Salem, Oregon; and Jesse Sharp and wife Pat of Jonesville; three daughters, Virgie Marie Cox and husband Johnny of Amity, AR; Patricia Bray and husband Bob of South America, and Debbie Kenworthy and husband Roy of Kelly. She also is survived by three sisters, Rachel Dantin and Alice Sappier both of Pass Christian, MS; and Joyce Fitch of Diamondhead, MS, eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Buckalew, Zak Kenworthy, Samuel Ramsey, Tyral Fitzgerald, Dallas Harris, Tracy Howell, and Jamie Howell.
