Funeral services for Victor Edward Cantrell, age 78 of Urania will be held 10am Tuesday Sept. 22, 2009 from the Olla chapel of Riser Funeral Home. Rev. E.R. Johnson will officiate. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Urania Cemetery, Urania,LA. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Olla. Victor Edward Cantrell was born on November 26, 1930 at Austin, TX to his parents, the late William Everett Cantrell and Beatrice Turner Cantrell. He passed from this life on Sept.19, 2009 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania following an extended illness. He was a U S Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Tullos United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sybil Cantrell of Urania. His step-son: Harvey Watson and wife Anissa Watson of Urania. Daughter: Victory Mears and husband Mark of Arizona. Two brothers: Donnie Cantrell and wife Joann of Dos Palos, CA, and Tommy Cantrell also of Dos Palos,CA. Five step-grandchildren: Brittany Watson, Casey Watson, Kendall Watson, Shawna Foster, William Kestner.
