Funeral services for Mrs. Tressie Crain Lindsey age 93 of Winnsboro, LA will be held 2pm Tuesday January 10, 2012 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. E.R. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4pm until 8pm at the Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia. Tressie Crain Lindsey was born on August 6, 1918 in Arkansas to the union of her parents Wilce Benjamin Crain and Martha Erskins Crain, and passed from this life to her heavenly home on Saturday January 7, 2012 at the Franklin Parish Medical Center in Winnsboro following an extended illness. Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Louie Lindsey; her son, Jimmy Lindsey; two grandchildren, John Lindsey and Lisa Lindsey; and her sister Mrs. Lessie McGloflin. Mrs. Tressie was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends alike. Survivors include, two sons; Donald Lindsey of Villa Rica, Georgia; and Coy Lindsey of Rayville; four daughters, Joy Faye Goodwin of Newellton, Kay Lindsey and Renee King both of Urania, and Sue Lindsey of Winnsboro; one sister, Joyce Lindsey of West Monroe; sixteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Lindsey, David Joel Goodwin, Michael Gatlin, Carl Gatlin, Kenneth Woodruff, Curtis Lindsey, and Jimmy Lindsey. Cody Lindsey will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
