Tollie Melvin Weeks

Funeral services for Tollie Melvin Weeks, age 86 of Harrisonburg, LA will be held 2:00 PM Sunday September 3, 2023 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie House officiating. Interment will follow in the Heard Cemetery at Manifest, LA. Visitation will be on Sunday September 3, 2023 at the funeral home in Columbia from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Tollie Melvin Weeks was born on December 7, 1935 in Manifest, Louisiana  and passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria following an extended illness.  He was preceded in death by his father Walter Weeks; mother, Pennie Weeks; his brothers, John Weeks and James Weeks; sisters, Marie Lea and Laura Nettles.

Tollie is survived by his wife  Zadie Faye Weeks of forty one years; his daughter, Linda Rena Hise; sister,  Lorraine Weeks; two granddaughters and one grandson and two great-grandchildren and three step-daughters.

Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Garland, Carol Pennington, Jonathan Wade, Henry White, Carl Lee and Billy Joe Nettles. Honorary pallbearers include Ray Lea , Jay Townsend and Hank Holloway
