Martin Eugene Tison

Funeral services for Martin Eugene "Gene" Tison age 78 of Columbia will be held 11:00 AM Sunday April 24, 2022 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Lane McClanahan officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. The Tison Family will host visitation on Saturday April 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Martin Tison was born on July 4, 1943 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the union of his parents, Charles A. Tison and Dorothy L. Shepard Tison and he passed from this life on Wednesday April 20, 2022 at the Citizens Medical center in Columbia.

Mr. Tison was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Charles Tison and his step-father Burman Wood. He loved fishing, playing the slot machines and loved his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Tison; his son: Gary Krapf (Susan); Daughter: Cheryel Brister (Keith) and his precious grandchildren, Joshua Robbins (Rebekah), Stephanie Hibbard (Caleb) Gus Krapf and Helen Krapf; and his great-grandchildren: Renee, Berea, Matthew and Bristyn.

Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Kirkland, Thomas Parker, Tyrel Hinton, Bob Wallace, John Bradley, JR and Glen Jackson. Honorary pallbearers include Billy Poole, Roddy Fluitt, Steve May and Dale Maxwell.
