Tina Sue Proffer

Tina Hatten Proffer was born on December 9, 1959 to the union of

J.W. Hatten, Sr and Annie Wheat Hatten. Tina passed from this life on April 16, 2022

surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from

11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Pine Grove Apostolic Church in Kelly, Louisiana with

Rev. Heath Barnhill and Rev. Johnny Barnhill officiating.

Interment will follow at the Chickasaw Cemetery in Olla, Louisiana.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and

 her beloved husband of 38 years, Eddie Proffer.

Tina was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.

She would tell you that her happiness in this life came from serving God and loving her family. 

She found joy in helping others that were in need, working with the

Pine Grove Apostolic Ladies Auxiliary group and cleaning the church.

 Tina opened her heart and home to many kids throughout her years. If you knew her very well you knew never to call her early in the morning and that she also considered being inquisitive her spiritual gift.   

During the time of her illness, you never heard her complain of being sick but she would often say that she wished she could be in church one more time.  She would always try find the opportunity to talk with her nurses about how good God was to her and the many things that she had seen God do while trying to encourage them to have a relationship with God.

Tina is survived by:

Daughters: Kelley Proffer, Kristie Proffer, and Konni Shell (Justin Shell)

 Two granddaughters: KaRissa Shell and Lillie Mae Shell

Brother: Rick Hatten

 Rev. Heath Barnhill, Rusty Cruse, Stevie Proffer, Justin Shell, and Jerrod Douglas
