Thomas McDivitt

Funeral Services for Thomas E. McDivitt will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 30, 2009 at Holum Baptist Church with Rev. Pete McCarty officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Hill Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Mr. McDivitt, 29, of Grayson, was born on July 2, 1980 and passed from this life on Monday, October 26, 2009. He was an apprentice electrician and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Those left to cherish Thomas are: his mother, Shirley Brunson and step-father William of Grayson; Father, Frank McDivitt of Shreveport; Son, Thomas J. McDivitt of Columbia; Uncles, Hassel Craft of Columbia, Pearl Adams of Columbia; Aunts, Ruby Calvert of Baton Rouge, Jackie Chatham of Georgia, and Ponzella Stapleton of Columbia; 2 nieces, Logan Shonta McCluney and Megan Lanae McCluney; Best Friend, Kenneth Chapman; as well as a host of cousins, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rufus and Christine Adams; Uncle, Johnny Adams; and sister, CeLinda Bradley. Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Chapman, Kevin Floyd, David Montgomery, Jimmy Joe Poole, Keith Gilmore, Danny Braddock, and Calvin "C.H." Smith. Friends may call at Holum Baptist Church from 4pm to 9pm Thursday, October 29, 2009, and from 8am until time of services Friday in the Church.
