Graveside funeral services for Thelma Virginia Volentine Cannon, 77 of Mineral Wells, Texas and formerly of Grayson, Louisiana will be held 11:00 am Saturday September 6, 2014 at the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson with Rev. Eric Harriman officiating. Services are under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Saturday from 8:30 am until 10:30 am at the funeral home. Thelma Virginia Volentine was born on May 21, 1937 to the union of her parents Jack and Nellie Wilson Volentine at Grayson, LA and passed from this life on Wednesday September 3, 2014 at the Palo Pinto General Hospital in Mineral Wells, Texas following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Kay Grant Kelly and her grandson: Caleb Hatten, Jr. Left to cherish her memory: her husband: Joe Cannon of Mineral Wells, Texas; her daughter: Patsy Hatten and husband Marshall of Columbia; her son: Bryan Grant of New Mexico; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
