Funeral services for Ms. Thelma Shumaker Allen, age 89 formerly of Grayson, LA will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 19, 2011 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA with Bro. Nash and Russ Caugron officiating. Interment will follow at Bosco Cemetery in Bosco, LA. Visitation will be Friday morning at Riser Funeral Home from 10 AM until time of service. Ms. Allen was born on February 18, 1922 to the union of George "G.W." Shumaker and Nannie Cox Shumaker and passed from this life on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Union General Hospital in Farmerville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Andy Allen, three brothers: Ezra Shumaker, Gregory Shumaker and Raymond Shumaker and sister; Juanita Goodwin. Survivors include three sisters: Yvonne Austin of Choudrant, LA, Mary Cook of Fernandina, FL and Arlean Gilbert of Farmerville, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Goodwin, Todd Davis, Austin Eubanks and James Shumaker.
