Funeral services for Charles Eugene Little, Sr., age 77 of Monroe, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 26, 2012 from the sanctuary of Bethel Assembly of God Church, 4813 Hadley St., Monroe, LA with Rev. Billy Frank Sellers officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Columbia.
Visitation will be on Saturday evening at the church from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Charles Eugene Little was born on February 16, 1935 at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents Charley Little and Nancy Eudie Moseley Little. He passed from this life on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Overton Brook Veterans Administration Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. Little was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and the European Army Occupation. He served as a Platoon SGT in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Kay Roberts and by his brother, Marshall Little and his sister, Lillian King. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Virginia Louise Dannehl Little of Monroe, five sons: Charles "Chuck" Little, Jr. of Columbia, Roger Little of White Oak, TX, Randy Little of Hallsville, TX, Mike Little of Kilgore, TX and Eric Little of Longview, TX; and his daughter, Linda Fuller of Monroe. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Christine Hilburn of Grayson, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Rieger, Bryan Crnkovic, Steve Kelly, Bobby Sears, Jimmy Little and Christopher Valentine. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Little and the men of Bethel Assembly of God Church.
