Funeral services for Mr. Joe Wayne Hall, Sr., age 62 of Grayson, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Banks Springs Baptist Church in Columbia with Bro. Wesley Manning officiating and Bro. Benny Lee delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery in Grayson.
Friends and relatives may pay there respect at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia on Sunday from 8 AM until noon then again at Banks Springs Baptist Church from 1 until time of service.
Mr. Hall was born on September 24, 1949 in Columbia, LA to the union of James Patrick Hall and Audrey Peavy Hall and passed from this life on Friday, December 16, 2011 at LA Extended Care Hospital in West Monroe. He was a commercial fisherman who was an avid outdoors man enjoying coon and deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Marie Hall, his son, Curtis Scott Hall, step-son, Kevin Roy Sikes and two brothers: James Hall and Charles Hall.
Survivors include the love of his life, Jo Ann Sikes of Grayson, two sons: Joe Wayne Hall, Jr, wife, Caroline of Hebert and Dean Hall wife, Paula of Kelly, step-son, Davis Lee Sikes of Clarks, two daughters: Shelia Hall Templeton husband, Shelby of Start and Kattie Marie Hall of Grayson, five brothers: Bobby Hall wife, Shirley of Des Allemands, Glenn Hall wife, Gertie of Columbia, Bill Hall wife, Shirley Faye of Columbia, Tom Hall wife, Pat of Wisner and Dave Hall wife, Lynn of Columbia, two sisters: Audrey Little of Columbia and Sissy Rice husband, Herman of West Monroe, eleven grandchildren: Cheryl Rogers, Jessica Smith, Angel Hall, Amber Hall, Joe Hall, III, Chelsey McNemar, Deanna Marie Hall, Devin Allen Templeton, Tanner Templeton, Kylie Sikes and Cameron Bolton, six great-grandchildren: Damon Hall, Scott Smith, Jayden McNemar, Lily Parker, Tysan Parker and Carter Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hall, Bill Hall, Tom Hall, Dave Hall, Jimmy Little and Jay Rice. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Hall, Steve Hall, Charley Hall, Joshua Hall, Jeremy Lee and Gary Little.
The family would like to convey a special thanks to Dr. Robert C. Ewing and the faculty and staff at LA Extended Care Hospital for their care and compassion of their loved one.
