Sr. Broussard

Funeral services for Raymond Gilbert Broussard, SR 70 of Clarks, La. will be held 10am Sat. July 18, 2009 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Harriman officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks. The Broussard Family will receive guests on Friday evening from 4 until 8pm at the funeral home. Raymond Gilbert Broussard, Sr. was born on August 16, 1938 in Caldwell Parish to the union of Everett Benjamin Broussard Sr. and Eda Ora Harris Broussard. Three of the great loves in Raymond's life was ; his love for Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, his love for gardening and in sharing his produce with friends and neighbors, and being outdoors cutting firewood. He retired from the Caldwell Parish Country Club where he served in grounds and maintenance. Except for a few years away from Louisiana he was a lifelong resident of Caldwell Parish. Survivors include: His son: Raymond Gilbert Broussard, JR and wife Kim of Grayson. His daughter: Lisa Riddle and husband Robert of Monroe. Sister: Janine Adams and husband Monty, SR of Columbia. Brother: Everett Brossard, JR and wife Sally of Cebu, Phillipines. His grandchildren: Raymond Kyle Broussard of Cochrane, Canada; Kaylin Alexandra Broussard of Grayson, Jessica Lane Riddle, Angela Grace Riddle, and Dylan Thomas Riddle all of Monroe. His great-grandchild: Madeline Jean Broussard. A host of nieces and nephews which include two that played a very special part in his life: Monty Adams, JR and wife Kim, and Amy Flint and husband Russell, and great niece Andie Janine Flint, all of Columbia. Serving as pallbearers will be: Monty Adams, JR , Russell Flint, Charles Alger, Johnny Hester, Bill Taylor, and Glen Barnhill. Honorary pallbearers include: Buck Fletcher, Elbert Pauley, and Rachel Cruse.
