Sherry Elaine Ply

Funeral services for Sherry Elaine Ply, age 64 of Clarks, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia, with Bro. Heath Barnhill officiating. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery, Kelly, LA. The family will hold a visitation on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the funeral home from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Sherry Elaine Hill Ply was born September 7, 1957, to the union of her parents, Jonathan Lee Hill and Arlis Holmes Hill, and she passed away at her home in Clarks on December 31, 2021, after an extended illness. Sherry was known by all as a sweet and caring person who befriended everyone she met. She was like a mom to so many people and she genuinely loved everyone. The love she had for her family was immeasurable and her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother who raised her and loved her like she was her own, Nadine Elizabeth Hill; her sisters: Anita Edgar, Debbie McCune, and Lisa Mitchell; and two granddaughters: Paisley Monroe Hill and Kylie Renee Hill.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Luke Dewayne Hill (Deanna), Alan Michael Ply, Roger Ply, and Franklin Ply; daughter, Kasey Hatten (Ryan); sisters: Sue Hayden and Marla Campbell; brother, Mark Hill (Kim); grandchildren: Trinity Hatten, Triston Hatten, Kason Hatten, Makaela Hill, and Ava Ply; special nephews: Richard Keeble (Ginger) and Michael Keeble (Jessica); special friends: Betty Bamburg, Lenny Knighten, Lanny Knighten, and Darrell Knighten; as well as a host of extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Devon Hatten, Ryan Bergeron, Cody Knighten, Cody Parr, and Joe Temple.
