Sandra Dee Blackmon

A visitation for Sandra Dee Blackmon will be held Monday, August 29, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Sandra was born in Columbia, LA to the union of her parents, Lonnie Busby and Jean Malone Busby, and passed from this life August 27, 2022, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Sandra was the rock of the family. She was a Christian woman with a fun sense of humor, and a great personality. She was a devoted Mom and Mimi who loved spending time with her family. Sandra had a heart of gold and enjoyed cooking, decorating for holidays, keeping everything organized, shopping, fishing, and working in her flower garden. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Blakely Saige Holloway; husband, Dr. Charles Blackmon; and her best friend, Rita Holloway.

Those left to cherish her memory are her fiance', Steve Tucker; sons: James Holloway and Adam Holloway (Reagan); step-sons: Doug Blackmon (Marcy) and Brandon Waller; step-daughters: Mary Blackmon, Heather Dunn (Curt), April Giles (Colby); brother, Kenneth Busby (Jamie); sisters: Debbie Powell (BJ) and Cynthia Busby; grandchildren: Cooper Holloway, Paisley Holloway, Levi Holloway, Peyton Morgan, and Olivia Holloway; step-grandchildren: Collin Blackmon, Dylan Blackmon, Gump Dunn, Blaise Dunn, Baby Boy Dunn; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews: Danielle, Kaylee, Kase, Brandon, JR, Raylee, Eme, Ben, Bryce, Alyssa, Hagan, Gracie, Lane, Alania, Maddox, Beckett; and her dog, Rip. Sandra will be watching her family from above, shaking her head, and saying "Sweet Jesus!"
