Samuel Edward Greenwood

Funeral services for Samuel “Sam” Edward Greenwood, age 65, of Kelly, LA will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Bro. Joe Aguillard officiating. Interment will follow at Lowes Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. The family will receive visitors at the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Sam was born June 11, 1955 in Monroe, LA to the union of his parents, William Greenwood and Evelyn Grant Greenwood, and he passed from this life May 8, 2021 at his home in Grayson following a brief battle with cancer. Sam liked to ride his Harley, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. He would work in his garden and tend to his cattle. He loved life in general, and he was a beloved husband and son. He was preceded in death by his father, step-father Bob Pardue, brothers: Randy and Danny, and a sister, Kathy.
Sam leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Wanda Gail Greenwood; his mother, Evelyn Pardue; son, Jared Greenwood of Spring, Texas; step-children: David, Jimmy, Darlene, Sam, Ray, and Charles: step-brother, Bobby Pardue; step-sister, Jenna Clark; brother-in-law, Jim Naquin.
Pallbearers will be Jim Naquin, Charlie Weaver, Dennis Paul, Darryl Paul, Jay Minard, and Randall George.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Riser Funeral Home, PO Box 57, Columbia, La 71418 to help cover funeral expenses.
