Russell Benard McMullen

Funeral services for Russell Bernard McMullen, age 78, of Columbia, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 7, 2021 from the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, Louisiana with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Riser Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Russell was born July 16, 1942 in Grayson, LA and passed from this life May 4, 2021 at his home in Hebert, LA. He worked for many years as a plant manager for Sunbelt Plastics. Russell loved music, especially Hank Williams, Sr., watching tv and his beloved dog, Foxy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred McMullen and his grandparents, Claude and Maggie McMullen. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kathy McMullen Kelly (Aaron) and Lisa ‘Sissy’ Marie McMullen; grandchildren: Terry Wayne Kelly (Chyan), Jacob Ellis, Deanna Ellis Johnson (Michael) and Hannah Ellis Johnson (Elijah); a host of great-grandchildren; special cousin, Roy McMullen; and special friends: Randy Adams and Bill Duffey.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin McMullen, Craig McMullen, Skinny Ray Fatheree, Bill Duffey, Randy Adams, and Stan Dear.
