Ruby Lasyone

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Lea Thomas Lasyone, age 76 of Columbia, will be 10AM Monday, September 28, 2009 at Bank Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Riley and Bro. Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks. Visitation will be Sunday evening at Bank Springs Baptist Church from 6PM to 8PM. Mrs. Lasyone was born on June 28, 1933 in Bank Springs, LA to the union of Delbert and Vernada Golf Thomas and passed from this life on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe. Mrs. Ruby was a member of Bank Springs Baptist Church and worked as a cafeteria worker and seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Pinkey Lasyone and two sons-in-law; Larry Powe and Robert Barnes. Survivors include her son; Thurman Lasyone and wife, Cheryl of Huntington, TX, three daughters; Wyvonne Powe Roberson and husband, Taylor of Downsville, Shirley Barnes of Highlands, TX and Patricia Lasyone of Columbia, eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Shannon White, Wade Barnes, Eric Barnes, Ricky Powe, Phillip White, Chris Lasyone, Tyler Kingston and Kyle Kingston.
