Funeral services for Roy Frank Guerrero age 54 of West Monroe will be held 11:00 AM Friday December 5, 2014 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Brother Danny Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. Visitation will be on Thursday December 4, 2014 at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Roy Frank Guerrero was born on January 23, 1960 at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents Francisco Reyes Guerrero and Ramona Victoria Quintanilla Guerrero and he passed from this life on Tuesday December 2, 2014 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe following an extended illness. Roy was an avid sports fan and LSU sports was a great part of his life. As a young man growing up Roy played sports and excelled in baseball, being chosen as an All Star numerous times. In his adult years Roy loved to coach and umpire baseball and excelled at this as well. His love of sports and baseball was passed down to his son, Chad and his grandson Lawson. Roy had a huge heart, an infectious smile, and was a loving father, son, and brother. His family loved him and the void he leaves behind can never be filled. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish a lifetime of memories: his wife: Toni Crain Guerrero of Columbia; his son: Chad Guerrero and wife Kacie of Columbia; his daughter: Whitney Carol Guerrero of Columbia; his grandson: Lawson Guerrero of Columbia; his sisters: Angie Melton and husband Leonard of Columbia, Minerva Roberts and husband Russ of West Monroe, Mary Brown and husband Tommy of Columbia, Aida Soignier and husband Bruce of Bosco, and Jo Ann Guerrero of West Monroe. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews , and great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Conner Cornwell, Sam Bass, Rusty Roberts, Lucas Roberts, Aron Melton, Tyler Hatten, Eric Anderson, Daniel Reynolds, Heath Soignier, Andy Soignier and Carl Cornwell.
