Roy Hilton Bailey

Funeral services for Roy Hilton Bailey will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 10, 2023 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating, and Courtney Dunn assisting and Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 9, 2023. Roy was born November 21, 1943 in Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, Hilton Bailey and Jesse Mobley Bailey and passed from this life  on February 7, 2023 at Haven Nusing Home following a lengthly illness. Roy was a pipeliner for over forty years. He was a member of Lapine Assembly of God Church. Roy was a cowboy and a excellent horseman. He loved riding his horses, hog-hunting with his buddies, and spoiling his grand-babies. Roy loved to eat, but everybody knew he couldn't cook, so don't expect it. Roy was a son, husband, brother, father, papaw, and great-papaw and will be greatly missed. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Hilton and Jesse Bailey; daughter Tina Bailey Warren Bond; brothers: Shannon Bailey, J.C. "Dude" Bailey, Landry "Hoot" Bailey, Coy Bailey; sister, Elsie Warren; and his cousin Ray Bailey. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty-nine years, Janette Bailes Bailey; sons: Danny Bailey of Bay St. Louis Mississippi and Roy Bailey of Columbia, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jana Warren of Grayson and TJ Bond of Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Sterling, Ryker, Axel; and many neices and nephews.

Pallbearers include, Troy Bailes, Kirby Bailes, Jerry Bailey, Shannon Bailey, Larry Warren, and Jimmy Bond. Honorary pallbearer are Carl Dunn, David Varnell, Gary Neal, Ricky Rollins, and Kenny Bailes.
