Funeral services for Rosemary Brown Griffin will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, August 26, 2023, from the sanctuary of Columbia Heights Baptist Church, Columbia with Bro. Warren Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery, Rosefield, under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia. The family will have a visitation at the church on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Rosemary Brown Griffin was born on  November 14, 1929, at Hot Springs, Arkansas to the union of her parents, Frank Brown and Willia Louise Williams Brown. She passed from this life on August 22, 2023, at the Oschner LSU Medical Center following a brief illness. Rosemary was an active member of the Columbia Heights Baptist Church. She was a homemaker but also so much more. She was a caretaker, making sure those around her were never in need. She assisted family, neighbors and friends in any way she could. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Rosemary was loved by so many and her presence will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Griffin, Jr.; her sons, George Griffin and Donald Griffin; and her daughter, Elizabeth Holloway.

Left to cherish her sweet memory is her son, L. D. Griffin III; her daughter, Audrey Boone; her beloved grandchildren: Ken Burr, Mike Carroll, Ann Burr, Amanda Richardson, Luke Griffin, Shane Carroll, Elaine Griffin, Bryson Griffin, Allen Griffin, Lisa McDougald, Tim Griffin, Amie Grace, Betty Thompson, Shannon King, and Vicki Magee; along with, thirty-six great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Timmy Griffin, Bryson Griffin, Stephen Staeden, Ken Burr, Michael Carroll, and Shane Carroll.

It was Rosemary's wish that, instead of flowers, donations be made to the Building Fund at Columbia Heights Baptist Church. Donations should be mailed to Columbia Heights Baptist Church, PO Box 1627, Columbia, LA 71418. Please notate with the donation that it is for the building fund in memory of Rosemary Griffin.
