Ronnie Dale Russell

Funeral services for Ronnie Dale Russell, age 65, of Urania, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Urania Pentecostal Church with Rev. Clay Hutto officiating. Interment will follow at the Urania Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Olla and Monday from 12:00 PM until service time at the church. Ronnie was born June 6, 1950 to the union of Elbert and Doris Fatheree Russell in Olla and he passed from this life on February 5, 2016 at his residence in Urania. He served his country in the Army having served in Vietnam. He worked offshore for ENSCO as a welder and was also a great carpenter. He loved to go camping and fishing. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Ana Fife Russell of Urania; son: Jeffery Russell and his wife Emily of Atlanta, Ga; two daughters: Onnie Sterling of Olla; Billie Ann Thorn and her husband Terry of Olla; brother: Mike Russell and his wife Velda of Urania; three sisters: Linda Sellers and her husband Terry of Urania; Rebecka Williams and her husband Kenneth Glynn of West Monroe; Delores Bryant of Urania; four grandchildren: Elizabeth Russell, R.H. Rhys, Rindee Smith, and LeAna McNemar; four great-grandchildren: Thorn Smith, Briar Smith, Hunter McNemar, and Keifer McNemar; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Stephen Williams, Hope Jones, Josh Smith, Terry Thorn, Steven McNemar, and Brian Sellers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Glynn Williams, Thorn Smith, Hunter McNemar, Keifer McNemar, Briar Smith, R.H. Rhys, Jeremy Prince, and Michael Sterling.
