Ronald was a man of many interests. He and his late wife, Martha Squyres, owned and operated Lakeside Grocery for many years. He also worked for the Sheriff's Department as a Correctional Officer. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, and a good cup of coffee. He loved his family, and was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ronald is survived by his daughter Veronica Squyres (Ruben), and sons Ronald Squyres (Glenda) and Travis Squyres, as well as grandchildren Courtney Squyres, Elaina Zuniga, and Matthew Squyres.
To honor his wishes, Ronald will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held at a later time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that Ronald and his late wife held dear.
