Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta Duckett Rowland, age 96 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 11, 2012 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Mrs. Rowland was born on April 22, 1916 in Columbia, LA to the union of Rickmon Lee Duckett and Margaret Fluitt Duckett and passed from this life on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. She loved and was loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Balcom Rowland; brothers: Melvin Rickmon Duckett, Aubrey Carl Duckett and Earl Adrian Duckett. Survivors include two sons: James "Jim" Rowland and wife, Diana and Earl Lynn Rowland and wife, Wanda Gaye both of Columbia; sister, Ouida Keenan of Columbia; two sisters-in-law: Helen Duckett and Sarah Duckett both of West Monroe; five grandchildren: Marcia Ruddell, Tommy Rowland, Alicia Davis, Nick Rowland and Hank Rowland; eleven great-grandchildren: Gage Ruddell, Gunner Ruddell, Zeb Ruddell, Abby Rowland, Ashleigh Rowland, Kelsi Davis, Konner Davis, Kacey Davis, Colten Rowland, Jacob Rowland and Tarrah Rowland; and two great-great-grandchildren: Sydni Humphries and Tynli Humphries. Pallbearers will be Tommy Rowland, Nick Rowland, Hank Rowland, Lee Duckett, Joseph Duckett and Ricky Duckett.
