Robert Edward "Bob" Love

Robert Edward "Bob" Love was born on March 14, 1943 at Monroe, LA to the union of his beloved parents, the late Clifton Benson Love and Mary Burnice Barker Love. He passed from this life on February 2, 2025 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following a brief illness. 

Bob was also preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers, Ben Love and Bro. James "Jim" Love and his grandson, Brenden Hunter Blackwell.

Bob spent forty three years in the offshore drilling business and retired with Noble Drilling . In his spare time Bob loved to fish and loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was quiet noticeable in his coveralls at any event he attented. Bob was known for his passion in whatever he pursued in life especially in his work and career. He and Wanda owned and operated more than one business and made many friends along the way.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Mrs. Wanda Love of Olla,; his daughters: Nikki Blackwell (Chris) and Lynn Leavins;  a special sister-in-law, Brenda Lisenby; and his grandchildren, Lexi Sandifer (Trey), Brock Blackwell, Connor Love, Jasper Leavins and Easton Leavins; and his great-grandchildren: Nadley Sandifer and Elias Sandifer

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Blackwell, Brock Blackwell, Trey Sandifer, Bruce Baum, Bobby Guichet and Scott Cockerham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday February 5, 2025 from the Olla chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Phillips officiating. Bro. Bobby Guichet will deliver the eulogy with Bro. Scott Smith conducting the graveside. The Love Family will receive visitors  from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home  on Tuesday.
