Bob was born October 3, 1936, in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Ras Edward Kennedy and Marjorie Davis Kennedy, and he passed peacefully from this life October 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Bob was a lifelong resident of West Monroe and after college began working at Central American Life Insurance Company where he worked until he retired as Senior Executive Vice-President. He had a strong work ethic and found it difficult to be idle, so after retirement, he and his wife, Armande founded Action Revenue Recovery, LLC. Bob had an entrepreneurial spirit and his mind was always thinking of new and different types of business. This led to his opening Delta Soil Services and Tiger Scrap Iron, which had numerous locations. Bob loved his family dearly and was so proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Armande McHenry Kennedy; and his son, Ryan McHenry Kennedy.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Drew Kennedy and wife, Dana Lynn; daughter, Sarah Kathleen Kennedy Fontana and her husband, Heath; grandchildren: Caitlin Kennedy Milam and husband, Trae, Ryan David Kennedy and wife, Savanna, Garrett Kennedy Gresham and wife, Hope, and Gavin McHenry Gresham; great-grandchildren: Walker Kennedy Milam, Beau Milam, and Riley Kennedy; and special friend, Linda Halley.
Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Bennett, Lance Smithson, and grandsons: Garrett Gresham, Gavin Gresham, Ryan Kennedy, and Trae Milam. Honorary pallbearers are Ivory Kidd, Gary Thomas, and Neil Riser, Jr.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to his caregivers, Doris Thomas and Judy Trevino, and also to Dr. Kerry Anders and the nurses at Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be made to the First Methodist Church of West Monroe Building Fund.
