Robert Lee Hester

Funeral Services for Robert Hester will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Grayson, LA with Bro. Shane Duke officiating and interment following in Cross Roads Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 PM until time of service at 3:00.

Robert Lee Hester was born November 6, 1932, in Grayson, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Samuel Nathan Hester and Thelma Estelle Parker Hester, and he passed peacefully from this life December 19, 2024, at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Bobby was a quiet man who kept to himself. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, watching preaching shows, and he loved his dog. Bobby kept his yard mowed and spent most of his earlier years piddling around doing different things. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ellis Hester, Nathan Hester, and Johnny Hester. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Carolyn Hendricks (Ray); nieces, Tammy Wise (Roy) and Jennifer McNeely (Brad); nephew, Justin Richardson (Mandy); and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include Roy Wise, Chad Wise, Brad McNeely, Parker McNeely, Justin Richardson, and Chris Tucker. Honorary pallbearer is Lawrence Parker.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Ridgecrest Nursing Center and the staff at Elara Hospice.
