Robert Elkins

Funeral services for Robert Brian Elkins age 53 of Columbia will be held 1pm Tuesday January 24, 2012 from the sanctuary of Banks Springs Baptist Church in Columbia with the Rev. Eddie Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Visitation will be on Monday evening at the church from 3pm until 9pm. Robert Brian Elkins was born on August 20, 1958 at Jacksonville, Florida to the union of his parents the late John & Barbara Ann Buell Elkins, and passed from this life on Friday January 20, 2012 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following a brief illness. Mr. Elkins was a member of the Banks Springs Baptist Church, and a Correctional Officer with Caldwell Correctional Center. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Chastain Elkins of Columbia; his sons, Ben Elkins of Columbia and Robert Elkins, Jr. of Bay St. Louis, MS; his brother, John Michael Elkins of El Paso, Texas, his sisters, Julia Elkins Urina of Lone Pine, LA and Laura Elkins Pitts of Jackson, MS. In lieu of flowers any planned memorials should be made to the Banks Springs Baptist Church, Columbia, LA 71418
