Rebecca Kay Franklin was born on April 2, 1961, to the union of her parents, James Noe Franklin and Christine Manly Franklin and she passed from this life February 6, 2023 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Becky had a big heart and enjoyed life. She loved visiting everybody, spoiling her niece & nephew and their rugrats, and keeping Pam on her toes. She was so grateful for Pam. Becky was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Andy Franklin, and her nephew Logan Franklin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Pam Jones (Brent); niece, Paige Carraway (Jeremy); nephew, Dustin Jones (Charlie); and great-nieces and nephews, Kenlee & Kaylee Carraway, and Landon & Carson Jones. Becky was known for having worked at the Burger Barn in Olla, Alkies Food Mart and was a Correctional Officer at the Caldwell Parish Detention Center.
The Franklin Family will host a memorial service on Saturday February 11, 2023 from the sanctuary of Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Maxwell officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Riser & Son Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses or to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital in Memphis.
The Franklin Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Randy Head and Staff, and the Haven Nursing Center and Staff in Columbia for all of the love they expressed to Becky through the care she received in her final years of life.
