Funeral services for Reba Jan Stamper, age 63 of Grayson, LA will be held at 2 PM, Friday, May 28, 2021, at The Pentecostal Church, Clarks, LA with Bro. Courtney Dunn officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5 PM until 9 PM. Services will be under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia.
Reba Jan Stamper was born September 2, 1957 in Olla, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Willie Freeman Cox and Vermell Cupples Cox, and she passed from this life May 22, 2021. Jan loved photography and took some amazing photos. She loved her family and spent time making wonderful memories with her kids and grandkids. She had a heart of gold and loved serving others. She would always help anyone who needed it. Jan enjoyed cooking, fishing, and riding motorcycles. She was a collector of many things. Jan was always happy.
Jan was preceded in death by her father, Willie Cox; brothers: Marty Cox and Timmy Cox; step-daughter, Sam Lambeth; nephews: Timmy Cox, Jr. and twins, Joel and Noel Cox; husbands: Dan Stamper and Trebla "Trouble" Arnold; and mother-in-law, Mary Arnold.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Vermell Cox; her husband, Leighton Peavy; her sons: Jason Stamper and Cliff Stamper; daughter, DeAnna Stamper; step-children: Scooter Arnold, Chris Arnold, and Brandi Arnold; sister, Rhonda Stapleton; brothers: Terry Cox, Paul Cox, and Bill Cox; her beloved grandchildren: Corbin Cahoon, Kennedy Stamper, Chloe Stamper, Nadia Wardlow, Aiden Wardlow, Courtney Cahoon, Andy Proffer, Hadley Stamper, Abi Stamper, Noel Winn, Kaitlyn Norris, and Kimber Woodward; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Riser Funeral Home to help defray expenses. Donations may be mailed to PO Box 57, Columbia, LA 71418 or by calling 318-649-2311.
