Ray Floyd Bailey

Funeral services for Ray F. Bailey, age 68 of Grayson, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 19, 2021, from the sanctuary of Outreach Baptist Church, Columbia with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery, west of Columbia under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 5 PM until 8 PM, at Outreach Baptist Church.

Ray Floyd Bailey was born June 10, 1953, in Alexandria, LA, to the union of his parents, Pat Bailey and Opal Yearby Bailey, and he passed from this life November 17, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after and extended illness. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Bailey. Before retiring, Ray worked on pipeline construction in the oil and gas industry.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of forty-five years, Charlene Bailey; his twin brother, Joe Bailey; daughters: Christy Bailey Ashley (Travis) and Jennifer Bailey Gilmore; son, Cody Bailey (Shelby); granddaughters: Brooke Phillips (Logan), Malorie Gill, Gracie Gill, Anna Miller, and Montana Walker; great-granddaughter, Ivy Phillips; and his fur baby, Gizzy.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Earl Varnell, Jimmy Dale Young, Travis Ashley, Charles Oxner, Phillip Moreno, and John Dobbins. Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Sanders, Ronnie Faye May, John May, Jr., Cameron May, Roy “Bubba” Bailey, Brandon Bailey, Keith Bailey, Jr. Mobley, and Jerry Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Riser Funeral Home to help defray the cost of final expenses.
