Funeral services for Randy L. Black, age 54 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from the sanctuary of Outreach Baptist Church, Columbia with Bro. C.R. Martin and Bro. Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Hebron Cemetery west of Grayson under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Randy Lavell Black was born on March 21, 1962 at Clarks, LA to the union of his parents, Travis Lavell Black and Daisy Laura Berry Black, and he passed from this life into the arms of the Lord on January 28,2017 at the Glenwood Regional Medical center in West Monroe following a brief and sudden illness. Randy was preceded in death by his father and he was the owner of Black’s Saw Shop in Grayson. Randy always tried to help anyone in need even in his business. He was a blessing to the community and his absence in this life will be sorely missed. Randy was an avid hunter. Left to cherish a life time of memories is his wife of twenty five years, Denea; five children: Lavell Black and girlfriend, Michelle Kelly, Brandy Stevens and husband, Charles, Thomas Black, Lainie Green and husband, Frank and Dakota Black; his mother, Daisy Black; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Pam May and husband, Clint, Stacey DeVille and husband, Richard; one brother and sister-in-law: Greg Black and wife, Sheila; eleven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and life-long friends, Joe Bill Mercer and Mike Chambola. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Chambola, Kyle Mercer, Ernest Guerrero, Mark Corley, Ricky Campbell, Dustin May, Jonathan McClanahan and Justin Rushing. Honorary pallbearers will be Jo Bill Mercer, Mike Chambola, Bill Avant, Jessie Ray May and Glen Frith. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Randy's memory.
