Pearl Magdalene Volentine

Pearl Magdalene Volentine was born on October 10, 1928 at Holum, LA to the union of her parents James Riley Volentine and Videlia Pearl Wilkes. She passed from this life on August 29, 2016 at Le Grand Health and Care Center in Bastrop following an extended illness. She was known to her family and friends through the years as “Little Pearl”. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: John R Cole, Sr.; Hank Vernon Hendrix and her daughter: Angela M. Brady. Pearl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was great-great-grandmother of two. She was blessed with a long life and she leaves behind a wonderful legacy in her family. Family and close friends will gather on Saturday September 3, 2016 at her daughters residence located at 209 Moreland Drive in West Monroe.The family left behind to cherish her memory include her sons: John R. Cole, Jr. and his wife Patty; Herbie Barfield of West Monroe and Ronnie Barfield and wife Judy also of West Monroe; two daughters: Janice Killen and husband Michael of West Monroe, Karen Calvert of Port Orange, Florida; her son-in-law: John Brady of Alexandria; eighteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
