Funeral services for Pearl Mae Guice Strange, age 70 of Columbia, will be held at 12 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from the sanctuary of Columbia Heights Baptist Church with Bro. Warren Maxwell officiating and Clay Bennett delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, west of Columbia.
Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2014, at Columbia Heights Baptist Church from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Mrs. Strange was born in Epps, LA on February 23, 1944 and passed from this life on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Hardtner Medical Center, Urania, LA. She was a member of Columbia Heights Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Horace and Marie Guice; husband, Melvin Strange; two sisters: Marie Clack and Dale Walker; grandson, J.T. Graham and special friends: Linda Carr Johnson and Dorothy Finley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Raymond Eady and wife, Cindy of Anna, TX; five daughters: Virginia Strange of CO, Janice Strange and partner, Charles Randall of Dallas, TX, Shirley Strange of Dallas, TX, Debbie Vinson and husband, Gary of Dallas, TX and Rebecca Graham and husband, Todd of Grayson; two brothers: Clarence Guice and wife, E.T. of Mulberry, TN and Gene Guice and wife, Lou of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren: Heather Smith, Zachary Randall, Sean Vinson, Josh Purvis, Brandon Eady, Jacob Eady, Justin Eady and Brittney Graham; six great-grandchildren: Clayton Smith, Alexis Smith, Sebastian Eady, Sophia Eady, Trent Purvis and Caroline Blake and special friends: Sally Harrison, Buster Martin and Rosemary Griffin.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Smith, Charles Randall, Junior Eady, Steve May, Gary Vinson and Sean Vinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Smith, Zachary Randall and Jacob Eady.
