Funeral services for Ollie Mae Lisenby, age 88, of Olla will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday September 17, 2024 from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church with Bro. Clay Hutto and Bro. Mike Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla. The Lisenby Family will receive visitors on Monday September 16, 2024 at the Urania Pentecostal Church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Ollie Mae Lisenby was born on November 15, 1935 at Kingsville, Louisiana to. Isaiah and Alvie Mitcham and she passed from this life on September 12, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness. 

Mrs. Lisenby was preceded in death by her husband  Elmer "Bubba" Lisenby; two sons, Wesley and Gary Lisenby; her grandchildren, Michael Lisenby and Misty Lashay Lisenby; her sisters: Laverne O'Reilly, Louise Mitcham and Charlotte Mitcham and her two brothers: Alec Mitcham and Nelson Mitchum. Her nephews Billy Lisenby and Joey Lisenby.

She was a faithful member of the Urania Pentecostal Church and she  felt blessed to have Bro. and Sis. Hutto in her life Her church family also meant the world to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader and loved Suspense, Christian and Amish books. She also loved word search and was a wonderful cook and baker. She was retired from Hardtner Medical Center after many years of dedicated service,

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jennifer Higginbotham and husband Johnny of Olla; her son: Kenny Lisenby and his wife Brenda; her brothers: Edward Mitcham of Walker, Louisiana; her grandchildren: Melissa Rainbolt, Derek Lisenby, Carla Cockerham, Bobby Guichet, Brandon Sanders, Cory Lisenby, Dylan Higginbotham and Alanna Higginbotham and a host of great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her precious fur baby, Gidget.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Higginbotham, Dylan Higginbotham, Cory Lisenby, Brandon Sanders, Logan Scroggins and Ethan Duncan. Hayden Worley and Sam Mason  will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Lisenby Family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Barksdale and Harbor Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to our mom; her nurse, Heather Smith  and her aide, Summer Winborne.
