OJ Dilley

Funeral services for OJ Dilley, Jr. will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Riser Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

OJ was preceded in death by his father, OJ Dilley, Sr.; his Grandmother and Grandfather Bruce; his grandparents, Joe and Alma Dilley; Johnny Wayne Dilley, who was his child at heart; and his sister-in-law, Peggy Sue Vickers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane Dilley; his best friend and brother-in-law, Sammy Boyett, AKA "Bingo"; the children of his heart: Christopher Joe Dilley, Christine Marie Dilley Walker, Larry Sikes, Lorie Taylor, and "Baby Girl" Delia Richmond, along with nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

OJ was a kind, gentle Giant, and had many friends around the world. He worked for International Oilfield Services which took him all over the world where he used his many certifications from more than seventeen countries. He loved the career field he was in and his work family. He was not ready to retire when he did in March of 2019. When he wasn't at work he loved hunting and fishing but more than anything he loved racing and riding motorcycles. He had a need for speed! Right now he's probably racing with "Sue Baby" Peggy Sue Vickers on the Streets of Gold!

OJ had a great love for people and never met a stranger. He took great pleasure in helping anyone in need. He had Pentecostal faith and lots of achievements in life. He was an angel to many, was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.

In OJ's final months when his health was on the decline, he and his wife, Diane, could always depend on Mitch Bratton and his nephew, Piper Barton. They were there for them any time they needed them, no matter the hour. The family loves them and is very grateful and thankful for them. Thank you to the entire Grayson Police Department. Mitch you have a great team.

We would also like to give special thanks to Elara Hospice Care. We couldn't have picked a better team to take care of our Poppa. Also, thank you to our friends and family for all the love, support, and most of all the prayers. We love you and are blessed to have you in our lives.

OJ Dilley, Jr., Poppa to many, we love you and will miss you greatly. We are looking forward to the day we will see you again!
