Norma Ruth Hafer

Funeral services for Norma Ruth Sellers Hafer, age 88 of Columbia, LA will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Rick Crandall officiating and Arleene Roden delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery, west of Columbia. Visitation will be Sunday from 12 PM until time of services at 2 PM at Riser Funeral Home. Mrs. Hafer was born on February 13, 1925 in Meridian, MS to the union of her parents, Daniel Lee and Ada Maud Bailey Sellers and passed from this life on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. She was a member of Grayson Baptist Church and retired as a sales representative with Hobart, a restaurant equipment supplier. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William W. Hafer; five sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her brother, Edgar Sellers and wife, Karin of Colorado and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be William Fairchild, Johnny Roden, James Michael Sellers, Adam Smith, Aaron Jones and Jimmy Wink. The family would like to thank Dr. Pankajrai Shroff and the staff of Citizens Medical Center for the care and concern shown to Mrs. Hafer over the last several years. We would also like to thank the staff of Haven Nursing Center (particularly Station 3) for not just taking care of Aunt Ruth, but for caring about her and coming to love her as much as we do.
