Nervie Dale Moore

Funeral services for Nervie Dale Moore, age 71 of Grayson, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Joe Aguillard officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Columbia, LA. The family will have visitation on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the funeral home from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Nervie Dale Moore was born in Monroe, LA, on October 30, 1951, to the union of his parents, Nervie Moore and Georgia Sanders Moore, and he passed from this life November 5, 2022, at his home in Grayson, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven siblings. Dale worked in the logging woods most of his life. Dale loved to cook and entertain friends and family. His favorite meal to prepare and share with others was fried fish and you always knew it would be good. He had a garden and had a bountiful harvest of vegetables to share with family. Dale always had a story to tell, usually about growing up in a house with twelve brothers and sisters, but regardless of the subject, the stories were always entertaining. He loved to piddle around and tinker with things. He always kept busy. His family lovingly says "He was a Jack-of-all-trades, master of none."

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lynn Linton (Conard); his life partner for over twenty years, Kathie Mabry; step-son, Kirk Smith; brother; Buddy Moore; grandsons, Lane Linton and Nervie Trade Linton; his best friend and nephew, Danny Varnell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Damien Moore, Jason Moore, Shaun Moore, James Allen, Lane Linton, and Trade Linton.
