Nellwyn Belinda Barton Hatten

Funeral Service for Lennie Hatten will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Pinehill Baptist Church in Olla, LA. with Bro. Cory Fowler officiating with interment following at Little Star Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Pinehill Baptist Church from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. 

Nellwyn Belinda "Lennie" Barton Hatten was born in Olla, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Clifton Dewitt Barton and Sweetie Nell Tannehill Barton on August 10, 1955 and passed from this life October 27, 2024 in Citizens Medical Center following a brief illness. 

Lennie also known as "Duh" was a very loving and giving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister and friend. She was a great mother and grandmother to not only hers, but also the others they brought in with them. Lennie enjoyed watching them all play sports, cheering, or anything they were doing. She loves LSU Football, going down the Buffalo River with Vicki and Susan, and cooking when she wanted too. Duh, was the boss at her house and everybody knew it. Not only did she graduate Beauty School, Nursing School, and Taxidermy School, she was a three year State Champion Bow Shooter indoors and outdoors sponsored by Browning. Lennie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tessa Hatten Hendrix; grandson, Nolan Hatten; and a brother, John Oscar Barton. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gary Hatten, son, Ray Lynn Hatten; brothers: Jerry Barton (Sissy) and Butch Barton; sister, Skyla Ford (Steve); grandchildren, Cole Hendrix (Savannah), Cameron Hendrix, Cohen Hendrix, Austin Hatten, Natalea Hatten; great-grandchildren, Lexington Hendrix, and Beckham Hendrix; son in law, Shane Hendrix; as well as a host of family and friends. 

Pallbearers include Cole Hendrix, Cameron Hendrix, Cohen Hendrix, Austin Hatten, Adam Barton, and Casey Barton.
