Nell Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Nell Scroggs Brown, 60 of Ovett, MS, will be held at 3 PM Saturday, January 1, 2011 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon at the funeral home from 1 PM until time of service. Mrs. Brown was a lumber inspector and a member of Spiritual Life Center in Petal, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Blackwell Scroggs, Sr. and Hazel Sanders Scroggs and two brothers: James Edward Scroggs and David Arnold Scroggs. Survivors include her husband; William Jack Brown of Ovett, MS, son; Patrick McNemar and wife, Terrie of Columbia, three daughters: Sissy Collins and husband, Wade of Conway, AR, Mellisa Lawson and husband, Tony of Trenton, GA and Janita Cornelius and husband, Jimmy of Seale, AL, brother; Buddy Scroggs of Columbia, three sisters: Angie Scroggs Potter of Corning, CA, Sarah Ann Burge of Hattiesburg, MS and Ruth Jones of Anchorage, AK and ten grandchildren: Harleigh Warren, Cade Collins, Erin Stephanie, Willace Hart, Jessee Hart, Aidan McNemar, Jimmy Lee, William Tucker Cornelius and Gracie Lawson. Pallbearers will be David Scroggs, Jay Hill, Charles Martin, Wade Collins, Lowell Cherneski, and Patrick Tice. Honorary Pallbearers will be Willace Hart, Jesse Hart, and Cade Collins.
