Nancy Aileene Hancock

Nancy Aileene Holmes Hancock was born January 29, 1938 in Columbia, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Joe Holmes and Dorlis Eula Finley Holmes and passed from this life on February 8, 2025 at Haven Nursing Home. Nancy was a member of Old Bethel Church, where she went until her health started declining. She was a school nurse in the 90's here in Caldwell and was a RN in Houston for years as well. Nancy loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed baking, looking at cookbooks, or just reading in general. Nancy enjoyed drinking her coffee and sitting on the porch.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Hancock; daughter, Ann Vaughn; one brother, four sisters; and a granddaughter, Emily Murphy. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nina Murphy (Thel); sister, Betty Byrd; grandchildren, Michelle Agado (Frank) and Gary W. Vaughn; son-in-law, Gary Vaughn; and seven great-great grandchildren.
