Myrna Raye Nichols

Funeral services for Myrna Raye Nichols will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Olla, LA, with Bro. Denver McBroom  officiating. Interment will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery. The family will host a visitation for friends on Thursday, December 1^st  preceding the service, from 10 am until noon.

Myrna Raye Nichols was born on August 19, 1940, to the union of her parents, James and Nita Nichols, and she passed from this life to her heavenly home on November 28, 2022. Myrna was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years working in both Louisiana and Texas.  Being the youngest in her family, she was cherished by her mother and spoiled by her father. Myrna was one of a kind.  Her laughter and sense of fun were contagious and earned her favorite aunt status among her nephews and nieces. The goodie bags that arrived for her great-grandchildren each holiday were epic and highly anticipated by her girls.  She was so loved and will be greatly missed. Myrna was proceed in death by her parents and siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Hoss Veerkamp of Baytown, Texas; her daughter, Suzzone Fletcher and husband Ronnie Yates, of Tyler, Texas;

 Her grandsons, Zachary Veerkamp (Haylie) of Baytown, Texas; Matthew Fletcher (Danielle) of Tyler, Texas;

Her granddaughters, Brooke Droptini (Sean) of Tyler, Texas; and Kate Fletcher, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Her great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Droptini, Holland Corken, Katherine Droptini and Alexandra Droptini.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hoss Veerkamp, Zachary Veerkamp, Ronnie Yates, Matthew Fletcher, Sean Droptini and Mark Fletcher
