Myrdie M Perot

Funeral services for Myrdie Marie Perot, age 86 of Winnfield and formerly of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2022, from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro.  Wilson McGaha officiating, Interment will follow in the Perot Family Plot in Columbia Hill Cemetery. The Perot Family will host visitation at the funeral home, located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Born on April 20, 1935, at Winnsboro, LA to the union of her late parents, Hansford Vernon and Gracie Sikes she passed from this life on March 21, 2022, at the Autumn Leaves Nursing Center in Winnfield, LA. Simply put to know Myrdie was to love her. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her beloved husband, James Perot; by her son, Benjamin Perot; granddaughter, Kylie King; grandson, Dustin Perot; and her very dear nephew, Hot Shot Hyde.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are four sons: Hank Perot (Shirley) of Pearl, MS, Robert King (Renee) of Urania, Mark Perot (Amy) of Homer, LA and James Perot (Sherry) of Homer, LA; two brothers: Duane Sikes of Columbia and Larry Laffoon of Vidor, Texas; two sisters: Juanita Hobgood of Winnfield and Glenda Tolbert of Olla; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers  will be Andy Proffer, Josh Brown, Will Wisdom, Joseph Hyde, Clifton Perot and Overton Perot.
