Funeral Services for Michael Todd Hogg will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 28, 2023, from the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA, with Jacob Bailes officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2023, at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia.
Michael Todd Hogg was born May 12, 1983, in Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, Richard Hogg and Tammy Floyd Hogg, and he passed away January 22, 2023, at his home in Hallsville, TX. Michael "Big Mike" was always full of jokes, cutting up, and enjoyed making people laugh. He had a heart of gold and loved his kids and family. He would call his momma out of the blue just to tell her he loved her. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just hanging out cooking for everyone and telling them he was putting his own "spin" on whatever he was cooking. Michael played baseball and graduated from Caldwell High School. He was a avid Saints fan and loved "Bama." He never missed a chance to yell "Roll Tide!" He moved to Hallsville, TX where he has resided for over ten years. To know Michael was to love him. Michael was preceded in death by his father; two sets of grandparents, Bernice and Sherman Hogg and James "Mickey" and Joyce Swett; an uncle, Edsel Hogg; his infant son, Mason Hogg; and his niece, Olivia Hogg.
Those left to cherish his memory are his fianceé, Brittany Plaschke; his mother and stepfather, Tammy and Duane Swett; his children: MaKayla Hogg, McKenzie Hogg, Anderson Hogg, Matthew Hogg, Logan Middaugh, and Abigail Hogg; siblings: Megan Howard (Callie), Josh Hogg (Elizabeth), Michael Swett (Jasmine), and Stephanie Murphy (Travis Schaub); nieces and nephews: Maddie Swett, Kade Swett, Kole Swett, Spencer Murphy, Sydney Schaub, and Juliann Howard; grandparents, Howard and Carolyn Floyd; aunts: Christal Medaries (John), Melissa Palmer (James), Genae Fields (Jerry), and LaNelle Richardson; uncle, James Swett; as well as a host of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers include Jeremiah Jarrett, Jordi Duchesne, Callie Howard, Michael Swett, and Josh Hogg. Honorary pallbearers are Kade Swett, Brad Beckley, John Paul Swett, Russell Carnahan, and Bobby Swett.
