Merlene Frith Adkins

Merlene Frith Adkins was born January 27, 1943 in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of her parents, John James Frith and Narvel Wheeler Frith, and she passed away April 11, 2020 at Columbia, Louisiana after a lengthy illness. Merlene loved to be outdoors and working in her yard growing flowers. She was very friendly and never met a stranger. Merlene was a hard worker all her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mildred Frith and brothers: Marlin Frith, Jimmy Frith, Johnny Frith and John Frith, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Janice Steele (Dusty), Julie Adkins and Ann Perot (Scotty); grandchildren: Challis Adkins, Kelley Ann Albritton, Dusty Wayne Steele, Paige Hatten, Dakota Perot and Tyler Perot; sisters-in-law: Zelma Frith and Jean Frith; extended family: Kim Austin, Phillip Callender, Jason Callender and Brad Callender; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Haven Nursing Center for the love and care they gave to Merlene during her stay there.
