Melonie was born on June 14, 1966, in Monroe, Louisiana, to the union of her parents, Bud and Bobbie Wilson. She passed away peacefully at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia, Louisiana, on December 11, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Melonie fought the good fight, and proudly entered the gates of heaven. She collected angels and butterflies, and her favorite color was pink. She loved online shopping, chit-chatting on the phone, and being a Ya-Ya to her grandbabies. Melonie loved her family beyond measure, and was always so grateful for them. Before Melonies illness, she was a nurse, and enjoyed helping others. Melonie had a heart of gold, and a smile to match. Even through her struggles, she always had a positive attitude, and words of encouragement to give. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Callender Wilson, paternal grandparents Bill & Edna Wilson, maternal grandparents Wince & Inez Callender, and nephew Remy Hidalgo.
