Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Evelyn Wilson,"nee Phillips" age 77 of Clarks, LA will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday August 23, 2023 from the sanctuary of Selma Baptist Church at Georgetown with Bro. Joe Bruce delivering the Eulogy and Bro. Carl Phillips delivering the Message. Interment will follow in the Urania Cemetery at Urania with services under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday August 22, 2023 at the church from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mary Evelyn Phillips Wilson was born on September 6, 1945 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the union of her parents Henry Albert Phillips and Carrie Louise Kirk Phillips. She passed from this life on Saturday, August 20, 2023 at the Christus St Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria following a short term illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her brothers, Jerry Phillips, Kenneth Phillips and Albert Phillips and her sister Della Phillips.

Those left to cherish the memories of a lifetime are  her husband of forty years , Thomas Wilson; her brother,  Johnnie Phillips (Barbara), her brother: Floyd Phillips (Melissa) Coushatta, LA Carl Phillips (Ethal), Michael Phillips (Renee), and Clifton Phillips; her sisters, Carrie Johnson, Patricia Johnson; her son, Randy Phillips of Georgetown,; daughters, Belinda Woodruff (Charles) of Urania, Mary Bishop of Urania, son, Virgil Mize (Nicki) of Virginia, daughters, Shasta Well (Will) of Pineville, Melanie Ganey of Urania; son,  Michael Wilson (Kristi) of Natchitoches. She had seventy grandchildren , host of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild with two new on the way. She loved to shop, be with her family and spending time with her husband and playing with her cats.

Serving as pallbearers  are her grandsons, Charles Woodruff, III, Dennis Woodruff, Gabe Lee, Richard Lofton, Dedrick Street and Scotty Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Ian Woodruff, Joshua Phillips, Donnie Ray Wells and Donnie J. Wells.
